About the Position



First and foremost, this is a hands-on position. As part of TEECOMs R&D group youll work to ensure that were making the best possible use of all available tools in our production process. Additionally, youll identify opportunities to improve and automate portions of our workflow with custom software. Youll experiment with beta software, download the latest versions of every application, and communicate important changes to the staff. Youll attend conferences to uncover new production paradigms and communicate your findings with the production staff. Along the way, youll demonstrate the power of your tools and processes with prototypes and presentations. From Revit to Rift, no technology is out of question if it can be used to make TEECOM more efficient and effective.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Build proprietary tools that enhance TEECOMs existing workflows, potentially lead to entirely new workflows, and move the state of our art forward.
  • Develop and maintain an intimate familiarity with all of the software applications that TEECOM uses in the delivery of our work.
  • Work closely with the production team and the technical staff to promote best practices, streamline processes, and incorporate paradigms from outside our industry.
  • Communicate work to the staff through knowledge-sharing sessions and presentations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in an architectural or engineering field preferred (or equivalent practical experience).
  • At least 2 years in the AEC industry.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with Revit.
  • Familiarity with Dynamo and the Revit API.
  • A deep understanding of at least one topic that youre so passionate about you can talk about it for so long that it makes other peoples eyes glaze over.
  • Knowledge of Bluebeam.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages a big plus.
